Health Benefits of Green Chilis/Chillies

Green chilli is a rich source of vitamin C and it is a secret of healthy and glowing skin.

Green chillies are great for healthy eyes because they are loaded with Vitamin C and beta-carotene, It smoothen the digestion process.

It burns the excess fats of the body so, helps in weight loss and also increases the metabolism of body.

Good in diabetes and protection against cancer as green chillies are loaded with antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals by acting as natural scavengers.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg. Fresh green chillies
  • 2 tbsp. Coriander seeds (Dhania) toasted and ground
  • 1 tbsp. black cumin seeds (Kalonji) toasted and ground
  • 1 large pod garlic
  • Small piece ginger
  • 1 tbsp. Red chili powder
  • 1 ½ cups lemon juice
  • 1 cup mustard oil
  • 3 tbsp. Salt or to taste

Directions

First wash green chilies properly then soak them now chop them or cut them into half, as given in picture.

Take a heavy steel pan and heat mustard oil then add ground ginger and garlic into it and fry for a few minutes. Now, add coriander seeds (Dhania), black cumin seeds (Kalonji), and green chilies, mix ingredients well. After half minute add red chili powder, salt (according to taste) and lemon juice. Now, again mix all ingredients well.

 Allow it cool and fill into a glass jar and keep in the sun for 2 days. This should keep well for 10 days.
