 Stuffed Red Chilli Pickle


  1. 1/2 kg fresh large red Chillies
  2. 1/2 kg mustard oil

Grind to a powder the following ingredients

  1. 2 tbsp roasted coriander (dhania)
  2. 1 tbsp ground spices (garam masala)
  3. 2 heaped tbsp dried mango powder (aam-choor)
  4. 1 tbsp fenugreek seeds (methi)
  5. 1 tbsp black cumin (kalonji)
  6. 1 tbsp red chillies
  7. 1 tbsp fennel seeds (saunf)
  8. 1 tbsp mustard seeds (rai)
  9. salt according to taste


  1. First wash and dry chillies.
  2. Slit open on one side. 
  3. Mix all the ground spices (masalas)with little mustard oil.
  4. fill the ground spices (masalas) into the chillies and put the stuffed chillies into a jar.
  5. Pour mustard oil over the chillies and allow to stand in the sun for one week.
