Paneer Masala

Serves 4

Ingredients

  •  250 gms paneer – cut ito cubes
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp ajwain (carom seeds) – crushed
  • 2 big onions – chopped finely
  • 1″ piece ginger – chopped finely
  • 2 green chillies – chopped finely
  • 1 tsp garam masala (mixed spicies)
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp dhania (coriander powder)
  • 3/4 cup beaten curd
  • salt to taste

Method

  1. Cut paneer into 1-1/2″ x 1″ rectangular pieces.
  2. Heat 3 tbsp ghee, add 1 tsp ajwain crushed on a chakla belan.
  3. Add onions, green chillies and ginger. Cook till onions turn brown.
  4. Add 1 tsp chilli powder and 1 tsp dhania powder. Mix well. Add paneer.
  5. Blend in 3/4 cup beaten curd, salt and 1 tsp garam masala. Cook till curd dries up & ghee separates.
