Mirchi Fry Recipe, Stuffed Green Chilies Fry

Stuffed Green Chilies Fry is very tempting and spicy recipe, which adds flavor to the menu. In this recipe we stuff green chilies with combination of spices. Gram flour in stuffing gives it a crispy and crunchy twist. You can have these mouthwatering chilies with Dal-Rice or with Chapatti-Sabzi.

Bharwa Bhindi /Stuffed Okra Recipe

Ingredients

  • 15 to 20 Green Chilies
  • 2 tbsp Mustard oil
  • 2 tbsp Gram flour or chickpea flour or besan
  • 1 tsp Dry mango powder (amchoor powder)
  • 2 tsp Roasted coriander and cumin seeds powder (Dhania and Jeera)
  • 1/8 tsp Asafoetida / Hing powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice optional
  • Salt according to taste

Method:

 First wash chilies properly and pat dry them with cotton cloth.

Now, slit chilies from the center to separate the two parts but keep the stem intact to hold it together and then keep them aside.

Now take a bowl add all the spices (Gram flour, Amchur (Dry Mango powder), Salt, Asafoetida (Hing) 1 pinch, Roasted coriander and cumin seeds powder (Dhania and Jeera powder), Turmeric powder and, Garam masala) and mix them well.

Then start stuffing these green chilies with mixture of spices. After stuffing all chilies heat oil in pan or kadahi, when oil gets heated, lower the flame and add the stuffed green chilies into it.

Fry for 2-3 minutes and flip the chilies and cook on all sides keeping on medium flame.

Once the chills are cooked from all sides, add in leftover stuffing mixture and allow flame to simmer for a minute. Mix well and lastly, add lemon juice (which is optional) and turn off the flame.

Again Mix well and transfer it to a serving bowl.

Serve it with Dal-Rice or Chatpati and Sabji.
