How to make “Gooseberry Jam” quick and simple recipe-Jams and Jellies

Gooseberry Jam

Key Ingredients

  1. 2 Kg ripe gooseberries
  2. 2 kg Sugar
  3. 1 tbsp Citric Acid (preservative to give jam a longer life)
  4. You can use food color.


  1. Peel gooseberries and cook in water.
  2. Mash well with wooden spoon while cooking till water almost evaporates.
  3. Add sugar and citric acid and mix well.
  4. Cook on strong heat stirring constantly. till a drop of syrup sets in cold water.
  5. Pour into a jar while hot.
  6. After cooling store in a cool place.
