- 2 Kg ripe gooseberries
- 2 kg Sugar
- 1 tbsp Citric Acid (preservative to give jam a longer life)
- You can use food color.
- Peel gooseberries and cook in water.
- Mash well with wooden spoon while cooking till water almost evaporates.
- Add sugar and citric acid and mix well.
- Cook on strong heat stirring constantly. till a drop of syrup sets in cold water.
- Pour into a jar while hot.
- After cooling store in a cool place.
