How to make “Guava Jam”, “अमरूद का जैम” easy and simple recipe-Jams and Jellies



“Guava Jam”, “अमरूद का जैम” 



  • 2 kg ripe guavas
  • 1 ½ kg Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Citric acid
  • 3 gm Sodium benzoate cochineal for coloring


  • Peel guavas and slice into halves.
  • Scoop out all the seeds.
  • Boil guavas in a pressure cooker with ½ liter water till guavas are soft.
  • Mash till smooth.
  • Add sugar and citric acid and cook on strong heat stirring constantly with a wooden spoon till jam begins to thicken.
  • Add color (if desired) and cook till the mixture forms a ball when dropped into cold water.
  • Mix sodium benzoate in a little warm water and add to the jam.
  • Mix well and pour into a jar.
  • Store in a cool place
