How to make Orange Souffle Recipe, Continental Recipe in English

Orange Souffle

You will need –

One pkt. orange flavoured custard powder, 6 tblsp. sugar, 500 ml. milk, 10 gms gelatine, 3 eggs, 3 oranges, 4 tblsp. cream.


Mix the custard powder with a little cold milk and bring the rest of the milk to a boil. Add 4 tblsp. sugar and then the custard powder mixture stirring all the time. Boil for two minutes and remove. Break the eggs in a bowl, remove the egg yolks, beat them lightly and add to the custard mixture. Put back on the flame and cook for a few minutes, stirring, continuously. Remove and let cool slightly. Then add the whipped cream. Dissolve the gelatine in two cups of water on gentle heat. Remove and add the juice of two oranges to it. Add 2 tblsp. sugar. Mix the gelatine mixture with the custard mixture. Beat the whites of eggs till very stiff, in a large glass bowl and pour the souffle mixture over them. Leave to set in the fridge. Decorate with orange segments.
