How to make Spicy Baby Potatoes with Onions Recipe, Vegan Recipe in English

Spicy Potatoes

You will need –

  • 750 gms potatoes
  • 250 gms ortion’s
  • 3 tblsp. chopped coriander leaves
  • 4 green chilies
  • 10 petals garlic
  • 1 inch ginger
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 1/8 tsp. asafoetida
  • 3 tblsp. Oil
  • 1 tblsp. ghee
  • 2 tblsp, fresh grated coconut
  • 8 cashewnuts
  • 1 tsp. garam masala


Try to get baby potatoes and button onions. (If you cannot, peel and cut potatoes and onions in big pieces.) Peel the potatoes and onions. Grind the coriander leaves, garlic, ginger and chilies and apply the mixture to the vegetables, along with oil, salt and turmeric.

Keep aside for half an hour. Heat the ghee, add asafoetida and the potato mixture with opnions. Mix well and cook on low heat till half done. Add the coconut and cashew nuts broken into bits. When cooked, add the garam masala, stir well and remove. There should be only very thick gravy, sticking to the potatoes and onions.
